Frequently Asked Questions
Are these for children or adults?
Both! We recommend Small and Medium for children. Teens and adults wear a Large or X-Large. Ponchos are meant to be worn like a coat - so most ponchos hang only as far as a person's lap. If you want a poncho to cover a person's feet or fit a larger adult, request a custom order.
How warm are they?
Two layers of fleece keep you warm like a blanket. In really cold weather, wearing layers underneath is a good idea.
How big is the neck opening?
Our pattern sizes vary slightly, but the neck opening ranges from 24 to 28 inches.
Are these waterproof?
We make two styles of ponchos. The patterned ponchos are sewn using two layers of fleece. We also use solid-colored, softshell fleece for waterproof ponchos. This feels similar to the fabric used in winter jackets.
Can you embroider?
We can embroider on custom orders. The embroidery step takes place before constructing the poncho, so pre-made ponchos come as they are.
