Medium – (approx. 32" long x 30" wide - recommended for children)
Large - (approx. 34" long x 35" wide - recommended for teenagers/small adults)
X-Large - (approx. 36" long x 40" wide - recommended for average adults)
*All ponchos have an 8" long flap on the back side - making the back much shorter than the front so the fabric doesn't get bunched up.
 
Fabric:
This custom waterproof poncho is made with softshell fleece. It is lined with anti-pill plush fleece. It is soft to the touch and wears well over time. The waterproof fleece is lined with another coordinating fleece color - making a beautiful car seat poncho to last all winter long.

My Story:
For years, my family struggled to keep my sister, Heidi, warm in the winter. She had Rett Syndrome and it was difficult to dress her in a coat while she was sitting in her chair. I’ve always loved sewing and created a poncho for her to wear outside and in the car. We loved putting on her Cozy Cape!  I hope my ponchos continue to bring people joy.

• Are these for children or adults? Both! We recommend Small and Medium wheelchair ponchos for children. Average-sized adults typically wear a Large or X-Large car seat cape. These ponchos are meant to be worn like a coat - so most ponchos hang only as far as a person's lap. If you want a poncho to cover a person's feet or fit a larger adult, request a custom order.
• Is this one waterproof? Yes! We make two styles of ponchos. The patterned ponchos are sewn using two layers of fleece. This waterproof poncho is made with solid-colored, softshell fleece. This feels similar to the fabric used in winter jackets.
• How warm are they? Two layers of fleece keep you warm like a blanket. In really cold weather, wearing layers underneath your car seat poncho is a good idea.
